I think a lot of it depends on the map the car has. I also think the stock figures on the door account for the general RON of the majority of garages in Europe, usually being between 95 and 98. That said, the car would certainly run better with a higher octane. The engine of the C7 has a load of built in redundancy which is useful for tuning. You wouldn't need any further cooling for example after mapping the car to 700+. On that basis I think the car could easily handle something like 102 BP fuel (if you're lucky enough to live near a German garage haha!).

Hi Guys
Ive had my C6 RS6 Avant 09 engine and gearbox mapped by a well known company here in the uk and we were having a discussion about fuel, I said i always use v-power and they said try using Momentum because it’s probably cleaner because the petrol gets used more often therefore the storage tank is cleaner
