It's sickening what's happened above, but if you had to work with some of the apprentice's I've ever had to work with you'd have been sacked for punching them every time you saw them. The youth of today are beyond retarded, they have no respect for anyone and are lazy feckers.
Pranks have been played at my work to me and also by myself, it's always been stopped before it gets out of hand. Some folk can take a joke and some can't.
We currently have 3 apprentice's, 1 is a very polite lad and tries his best, 1 is just a really dumb mommy's boy (that's being polite) and the other is a gobby liar who thinks he knows everything but knows NOTHING. When I first started out 20years ago, if I acted like the last lad for longer than 2 days I'd have either had the crap kicked out of me or been sacked, the fear of that stopped you acting like a tool. These days you can't do either so they get away with murder and make you want to pull your hair out.

Thought those that had met me may find that a little amusing.
I'm not condoning what happened, but there's always 2 sides to a story, Sams post ref the fire retardant clothing being the time he was set on fire kinda proves this. Sadly the young man sounds like he had troubled life, just hope he's at peace now.
