Corroded water coolant lines

Hi guys so when viewing cars ( rs6 ) to buy how to check for the 50p oil seal leak ? What area?

If the car has been static for a while there'll be a small puddle of oil on the ground-plus of course you will see oil staining on the underbelly. I viewed 4 cars and 2 of them had the oil leak.

so am i correct in saying that if the car has the following

oil at rear of under tray
oil on ground if been sitting a while

rusty lines in the driver arch

then walk away ?

do mrc do the oil seal for £900 without dropping the engine?

there is aN ad just gone up in classifieds for a sepang c6, seller says he had his lines replaced under warranty by audi, maybe worth dropping him a pm for some info/advice

I have the breakdown cost but not sure mrc would want the price's of each item and things posted ...

That's not an invoice that's a Chinese Guard Report! just goes to show why our cars are such a rare sight on the roads with bills like that.....you could buy a pretty half decent run around for that money.

I had the rust on the coolant pipes on the driver side too, luckily the car was at the garage and the engine out job which had just gone back in so luckily caught it just in time.

The coolant pipe if memory serves me right was around £230 including sundries so not reasonably priced for some rubber/plastic and metal, tbh I have yet to find a part on that car that doesn't require short of a re-mortgage, not to forget the labour.
