I phoned the above people and they distribute various GPS systems, including Snooper and they recommended the Cheetah above the Snooper.

I couldn't get my TomTom gps to get a signal. Followed Shoppinit's advice (as usual) and ordered a GPS Puk. Worked a treat!
I fitted an extra 12v socket in the glove box and use one of these to plug everything in to:

My TomTom, Blackvue and my Cheetah all have no problem getting their GPS locked on
shoppinit's post and advice is great looks like a great way to boost the gps signal. but im not that brave to do things with the car will have to employ someone! thanks steveo
