The calipers on my C6 RS6 need redoing as they have been badly srpayed previously. Overspray on the pistons has caused them to corrode and stick.

So sending them to Godspeed to be refurbed. Not sure of colour yet. They have gone from factory grey to red so not sure whether to return to OEM grey or try the new R8 red...or maybe Porsche yellow. Anyway, while Godspeed have them, I am getting the pistons made up in stainless to prevent them corroding like the OEM chrome plated steel. Its £2 more expensive per piston but worth it in my opinion.

The calipers on mine are 8 pot Alcon ones so 16 pistons in total

Godspeed did my 8 piston ones and the quality was great, the decals are identical but they'll be stuck on top of the final finish. So not quite OEM, which I believe are printed onto the calliper.

Yes, OEM seems like its a print or transfer, certainly a lot thinner than a Sticker.

Are there any refurbers that offer a print type decal rather than a Sticker?

Not that I'm aware of Mike.

Got the black one back from Audi last night which has the refurbished callipers on, so I can now attach a picture of the decal below. To be honest you'd only notice when washing the wheels, standing back and looking around you'd be hard pressed to really notice:

Could probably take a picture later this week, blue one should be home in the next day or so. First time in over a year that they've both been taxed and tested together

Ok, they look pretty good there. My oem decals have outlined letters though, not the filled ones like you have.

Oh yes, I always wondered how the outline lettering came about?

All the brochure shots show it as coloured in, mine were before the refurbishment along with a second spare set that I have laying around as well. Perhaps Audi outsourced to a second printing company during the production run, who did it differently?

I'd never noticed the difference - I *think* my B7 had outlines though (these are my B8's)

I think Godspeed can laquer over the Sticker to give it more longevity. Audi wont sell the transfer alone unless you buy the caliper as well.....:(

As a matter of interest, what temperature reading have you had out of that calliper thermometer?

230c yesterday - but the pads (EBC yellows) were smoking VERY badly at the end of the session. That's as hot as I'd ever want to get them. Air ducts will be fitted when I return.
