Each to their own, but I couldn't live with that ghastly/vulgar interior, or chavvy red styling bits all over the place.Puzzle wrote:Well Gents, apologies but I bought this
Good luck in the winter too..
'15 B8 RS4 - SOLD
Re: Hello and a dilemma
One of the appealing aspects of the RS4 and 5 are that they have relatively simple clean and muscular lines. BMW and Merc have assumed that most people buy into the whole winglet and faux integral spoilers. The BMW Ms look particularly fussy! The Merc C63s look quite nice in estate form.
Re: Hello and a dilemma
Enjoy it I'm sure it's great to drive, no doubt it will have a better steering feel than the rs4

Re: Hello and a dilemma
My Local merc dealer in london plays drum and bass on the showroom speakers system.... I don't like drum and bass - or that monster screen on the dash; or the fat arse....
Sorry buddy - obviously an RS4 forum, and seriously enjoy the motor; but having a 15 plate RS4 in England as a result of deep research including the Merc very seriously led me down the path that I'm enjoying.
You'd better hope for a dry winter... however the counter argument as an employer is that the people who work for me with a RWD car (BMW or Merc) use it as a legitimate excuse for not coming into work.... If you want to stay at home in the snow; buy a merc!!!
Chuckle, I'm so sorry; I'd like to say I like it - but I just don't fella. The C220 CDI with AMG pack looks too close; and the bum on the estate is nasty.
I reckon the C63 will come into its own with the black edition, or version 2.... but aaarghhh that interior!!! (Saying that the RS4 is getting dated)

Re: Hello and a dilemma
Unless you got good winters on the rs4 it isn't that great in the snow, I prefer not to take mine out if the roads are that bad, chances are someone will end up stoving into the back of the car at some point, I just jump into my van with winter tyres on, job done. You'd better hope for a dry winter... however the counter argument as an employer is that the people who work for me with a RWD car (BMW or Merc) use it as a legitimate excuse for not coming into work.... I had a c63 years back with winter tyres, tbh it didn't drive bad in the the snow.
There's more to life than just Audi.
Re: Hello and a dilemma
yeah there is for sure - for example my 911... And the other day i had a wicked time with the last C63.
I absolutely hate the current one though; it looks just shocking buddy.
As for the snow; I've had plenty of motors without the winter tyres; by a country mile the range rover was the best; followed by my b5 rs4.

Re: Hello and a dilemma
(I don't know if it's coming out... I don't like the C63 Merc....!) chuckle
HOWEVER
The M3/M4/M5 IMHO really really cool cars - just no estate; and the wife said it had to be an estate.....

Re: Hello and a dilemma
I'm not a BM man, but I have to say the new m3 is very nice
Much prefer that to the merc if I had the choice.

Re: Hello and a dilemma
OK so A real quick run on the configurator on the C220 CDI with AMG pack, you'd have to get the wheels sorted black with red plus the callipers.....Puzzle wrote:Well Gents, apologies but I bought this

Re: Hello and a dilemma
I actually prefer the look of that
Re: Hello and a dilemma
Never owned a BMW - but my mate has a M3 E46 and it is JUST epic.
I love the RS4; make me smile too much - bet the merc would too.... until a C220 AMG pulled up alongside me,
Funny story to put this into context; on the motorway the other day a battered saab arrived in my mirrors; i thought no problems; let him go - and my god it went - a chipped out of its arse diesel saab!! (not as quick as me but not far off.... Imagine how you;d feel in a car that looks identical; and with a chip is nearly as quick..... actually an E350CDI I came across the other day was super quick

Thinking and looking - that C63 is such a car for only people in the know - i.e. boring / geeky
