Front brake pads recommendations please
Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
IIRC, there are only 4 pads in that set so you would need two sets.
Much cheaper at Camskill anyway:

I'm pretty sure that Audi supply Pagid, but not the usual ones. I think they are from the Pagid "RS" range (or something like that.sulli wrote:GSF do Brembo, is this not what Audi supply?

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
Do ate do pads that fit?
Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
Yup. They will all be much the same unless you get performance pads. I.e. Will stop the car but not tolerate any serious abuse (or driving, as I call it).

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
Looks like ds2500s then, better deal than OE! Better pads too, have used them in other cars and they are awesome...

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
DS2500s arrive so after a hitch of a week at work I decided to do something positive instead of resorting to beer, and make a start at 6pm, should be done by 7....
Fuckin fuckety <beep> <beep> it was!
Old pads won't come out without removing calipers, so I set about that, no big deal right? Well on my drive it is when calipers bolts are seized. After an hour, a broken thumb, an ASBO for my fruity language my neighbour gets home and wheels out his massive trolley jack to get some more height and a breaker bar, which does the trick. Until I get to the pad sensor, well the DS2500s don't have one. So just remove existing? Nope can't disconnect it... However doesn't seem to trip the warning light as is so will just tie it out of way. So 3 hours and darkness scuppered me, the other side in the morning. Why oh why do simple jobs always go thus?

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
Just wait until you have to do something more serious. Epic cars, but a bitch to work on with everything packed in so tight.

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
I need a set of rears - looking at the links above for the DS2500s, it quotes 120 quid.
Price from Audi inc VAT - under 90 quid.
Seems a no-brainer? Or am I missing something?

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
I have always used cheap Brembo pads on the rear. I've had the fronts on fire and boiled the fluid, but I've never come close to getting the rears to work up a sweat.
