Looks good Si
I'd be reluctant to drive such a clean car for fear of mud, dust or traffic grime

I did think that, makes you want to just put it away in the dry and have a look every now and thenLooks good Si

But that's not what it's about I drive my cars regularly, and don't worry about the mileage, even though I look after my cars I enjoy a regular thrashing

Yep my thoughts exactly, you bought it to enjoy it,
but still, clean it and look after it and it will look after you IMO!
My B7 never let me down in 5 and a half years, enjoyed it but cleaned it almost every week, wheels every day

Forgot to add how clean your motor looks, makes it feel like getting a new car again.
Hows the steering wheel holding up? do you have that cleaned aswell?

This really is a stunning car - always enjoy looking at pics of it.
Keen to hear what products where used? One detailing product/manufacturer that always seems to be highly rated at many is Zaino. Not sure if they do a ceramic line though.

Not had a chance to speak to Richard in depth about what he used, just trust his judgment on what he's decided to go for
Going to find out more on Monday
Got this sticker on the screen

Knowing my luck, I'd get it done and then end up having to be in London the next day and it'd be pissing it down

Re: 2 day detail+ceramic coat
So true! When I had my S4 machine polished, the idea was 'winter prep' to have the paintwork sealed. Was December time, collected it 5pm and it was dark, the next morning it was snowing hence it was called upon for work duties leaving home approx 7:30am. Didn't get a single photo of it cleaned and freshly polished!

I had my car ceramic coated and the there is no effort at all after when you come to clean the bodywork. I jet wash off the car and then give it a light shampoo using Chemical Guys Glossworkz. I then rinse off using pure water which has been run through a reverse osmosis filter to stop water spots. To help stop swirls building up I dry the bodywork using a dog parlour heated dryer as shown below. This is also great for getting the trapped water in the door seals etc that run out afterwards and saves on rubbing the bodywork. I then follow up with a quick detailer using Chemical Guys V7. The results are great.

Dog parlour heated blower, tell me more??

Re: 2 day detail+ceramic coat
Si, I agree - you have to drive these cars to appreciate them, but equally a growing classic I just want one to garage and peek at every now and again!
Equally, drive them regular and a once a year detail and coating is about right...
Tell me more about the 'carbon collective' Sticker and products when you find out.
Jezzer - I'm the same. Jet wash. Snow foam. Jet wash off. G wash with two bucket and micro fibre madness. Wheels with 4 (one for each rim!) captain crevice. Jet wash. Rinse with shower attachment using 0ppm filtered de-ionised water. Blow dry with Sithl leaf blower 730mph - gets all water out and off all the nooks and crannies. Especially dislodge water behind the door strips and the light clusters.

Re: 2 day detail+ceramic coat
Really good because you can heat the blown air with it. The rinsing water is easily evaporated off really quickly to leave a streak free finish. Just google dog grooming heated dryer, mines a Reolus which a lot of the detailers useRIV wrote:Dog parlour heated blower, tell me more??

Excuse my ignorance, but isn't it the evaporation of water that leaves the water marks ?Jezzer wrote:Really good because you can heat the blown air with it. Surely you're better off blowing it off with cold air
