I have owned 3 B8 Audis before I bought my RS4 B7 and my neighbor has a S4 B8..and I would never trade mine into a S4..but this is just a personal opinion. The neighbor's S4 has apps. 430hp and goes like a train (I mean that it goes very well) but it lacks something, something RS cars have.. appearance. (maybe I just love the wide arches)

Hi Roy,

I personally think you'd be mental to sell your charged B7 RS4 and buy an S4. It doesn't matter how fast or how easily tuned they are, and I'm sure they are probably pretty decent cars all round, but put simply ITS NOT AN RS! It just wouldn't be the same no matter what you did to it. Not for me, but a modded RS3 would be a better option.
I'd say keep it and enjoy it for a bit longer

FWIW I've had mine now for almost 4 years now and have just recently began to fancy a change too but there is nothing in the current Audi range that I would change for.
In short the new RS4 should be the one to go for but it just does nothing for me in any way, new RS6 seems awesome but way too expensive and also too big for my needs, RS3 not special enough, RS5 simply don't fancy it, R8 great car but not what I want to change for. S4/6/8 as stated above. All just my personal opinion of course! :)
I think the only way I'll part with mine is when I can't resist the lure of a GT3RS any longer and need to sell both my cars to fund the purchase!

I couldnt own either, the s4 is bland ....end of.The RS3 is an insult to the RS range, theyve bunged on some sideskirts n called it an RS,sorry you can poke that for the price tag.

+1 on that.

I've never driven a B8 S4, but if the RS4 is anything to go by, then personally, I found the car not edgy enough for my tastes.

Mrs FBF was onboard, so it had the green light, but I had this nagging doubt that it was a bad move - they haven't exactly been flying out of the showroom have they.

In my book a 997 GT3RS is a very safe place to put your money.
Gut, besser, aber am besten?

I've started leaving the latest 911 GT3 brochure on the coffee table, screensaver, heavy hints etc.
If a £100k car could be a bargain, then I believe that is it.
Decisions, decisions....Clubsport or non-Clubsport

Honestly mate keep it. Mines was the complete rs4 in most people's eyes mines included. Till to this day trying to convince myself it was the sensible thing to do in selling it. There's a chance I may get mines back, possibly

Have MRC taken a B8 S4 out to Santa Pod yet? They had one at gti once a year or two ago I believe but haven't seen anything since.
