B7 RS4 (Mr T) - Gone but never forgotten and still in Surrey
From time to time, Audi come up with a perfect car. For me it all started when I first heard (not saw) a short wheelbase quattro going full chat down a narrow country lane during the Rally Of Great Britain as it was back the days of the awesome Group B cars. When that thing came into view the boxed arches and heavily set appearance just stuck with me forever. Lancia came close with the Delta Integrale but nothing has come close since (except maybe my STi Impreza - also with boxed arches). Wind forward to 2005 and the first RS4's appeared on the road and it was another WTF moment... those amazing blown out arches that looked like they were stretched just so they could fit super wide wheels on it.... love at first sight. Then they went and made an estate version which, in my humble opinion, is probably the sexiest arse ever on a car.
God know's what I'll do when I have to get rid of it...
mak.

|IMHO what makes the B7 RS4 one of the best Audis ever is that at the time they had one of the best groups of ride and handling engineers ever assembled (outside of Lotus Engineering) so in the B7 we've got great build quality, great engine, great handling AND great ride (the last two together is incredibly rare).
I'm going to own mine until it damn near bankrupts me keeping it on the road
