Wouldn't have been so proud if it was your Audi!

But seriously, if you are genuinely concerned about getting broken into simply get an alarm that you can set downstairs armed while sleeping. My parents did it when i was younger while tedious to begin you get used to it and you can rest assured knowing someone wont be sneaking around your house whilst you and your family are sleeping.

We was broken into at a different house when i was 13 in the middle of the night, luckily i was awake. I have never been as scared as i was shaking at the top of my stairs, i would only sleep when i knew there was someone else awake in the house for a year after that.

It's not just your valuable you need to be concerned about

unlikely, but hey if it happens take it on the chin give them the code, they REALLY want your car lol. But even if that does happen, your car sitting in the middle of the road, door possibly open alarm blaring. Wont take long for the police to notice it

Had an unmarked police jag pull up next to my rs4 outside the office a few months ago and was very proud of the car - the conversation went something like this

"Excuse me sir, there have been a few nicked over towards Nottingham so we wanted to check it's your car. We had to wait til you stopped though because we can't catch them!"

And there was always that rs5 that hit 180mph on the m6 and nearly outran the police helicopter! (Story's probably on the NBC website if you haven't seen it)
