Offer a perfect flat metal face such as a spacer up against the face of the wheel and feel for an wobble between the two.tcat wrote:Hi, is there a better way to be more precise on sanding the wheel faces? Take down to a local garage who can do this?? Unbelievable. The motor was perfect before the wheels were done - pissed off.Golfather wrote:Sand the faces of your wheels flat.tcat wrote:Arggghhhhh, I have exactly the same issue. Just had wheels refurbed. Wheels now back on and steering wheel vibration exists. Also random pulling to left... and right?! Really intermittent. Sometimes driving feels like yr in a washing machine on high spin. Took wheels back, all re-checked for balancing, all ok. One of the rears changed for the front to equal out the stick on weights. Issue less worse, but still noticeable.
Help really really appreciated.

9 times out of 10 your refurbed wheel faces are not perfectly flat.
This imbalance will eventually cause your brake discs to warp.
And introduce wheel wobble.
Very common on Audis with floating bell discs.
Or you could take it to any decent machining shop.
