The main thing is JBS and Awesome dont get on

At the end of the day all that matters is wether Lee is happy with the route he has taken and the service he recieved.

Before the super charger kit went on to the vehicle, the vehicle produced 402.79bhp and 336.73 ft-lb.

Just so all the data is complete, my car dynoed the above figures of 402.79bhp and 336.73 ft-lb with a generic Revo stage 1 map, BMC air filter and Milltek non res valved catback.

Previously it was dynoed at Dyno Demon on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno at 378.0bhp completely stock except for a BMC air filter. The airbox power flap was also non functional at the time.

Do you know what the WHP figures were for those runs?

In 1997 I sank £30k into converting my ur-quattro 20v into a 6-speed 500bhp+ monster.
At that time, the car was probably only worth £12/13k.
Was it worth it? Damn right it was worth it!
I will never ever sell that car.

I imagine it could be done for alot less now.

With the RS4, I did my research, I knew exactly what I'd be getting for my money. I'd be stupid not too, it's a 'sizeable' investment after all.
For that sort of investment especially with the current economic climate, I expect to get 'what it says on the tin' and I made sure JBS was very aware of that.

The picture of the PerformanceBox display was sent to me by James via Face Book as he was testing his car after I had got mine back but was wanting to 'run it in'. It was my decision to post it on the forums for all to see.

The data I presented is for those interested in 'charging their 4.
I don't do 'forum politics' or watch daytime TV (or any TV for that matter).
I'm only interested in 'real life' data and so should you be if you're considering the same or similar investment of YOUR money.

I am not anyone's 'fanboy' when large amounts of MY money are involved, the only 'favours' I received were a good labour rate, a good price on the decat downpipes and my meal paid for at ADI at JBS's table.

On the rollers this produced 498.94BHP 428.80 ft-lb at the fly.

you know I got a lot of love for you guys there at Awesome, but losses calculated by your dyno are 9.05% which just isn't correct.

A while back, I was having lunch with Roland Mayer and Peter Link from MTM. We got into a discussion about quattro drive train losses. I was told at the time to expect 25% loss approx.....the more power you put in, the more the loss.........unfortunately.

Lee i wouldn't try justify your purchase in anyway shape or form you've took the plunge so go you mate. I can decide keep b7 and go wild again or sell up and mod something else

Interesting thread, but still not getting the value for money here.... £13k for 100 bhp seems completely illogical to me. I mean, how much is a NoS setup in comparison?

Horses for courses I guess, but £13k+ is a hell of a lot of wanga!!!

Value for money is always subjective. Worth it to me as I find the b7 an incredible package, especially now.
I think a nitrous setup cost Danny £3500 on his b7. I run nitrous on my quattro, you soon get sick of filling bottles. Ten years ago it cost £33 to fill an 11lb bottle that didn't last long, don't know what it'd cost now.

Thinking tts kit and nitrous tbh turbo's are too much hard work. Dougs doing all the hardwork testing the kit so I reckon I'll stick my money there. Bottom end is now the issue though might be ok if I run nitrous top end I'll need to look into it

Yep, think you're right about the turbos mate.........way too much hassle! Interesting times ahead
