We figured RS246.com golf umbrellas would have been good sellers Phil, just a suggestion!

Yeah, top day out. Good to put some names to faces. Shame the weather was rubbish for the first few hours but it came good in the end.

Thanks to Clive H for the lift down and for letting me put your S4 up the strip. Although there was no official print out as it got lost  i thought 13.9 for the quater was pretty good considering. I have a vid of you and Ben Clive, i'll try load it up and post it.

Cheers,

13.9 is a good time for Clive's car I think.

You have to consider the surface was not like a real drag strip (possibly not a big problem for a quattro car) and there were two of you in the car.

Kind words Graham (and we'll have to kick young David out next time... ) - I'm sure the car can do even better, and I've got lots more excuses for my poor attempt...!

Thanks for the respectable time Chris

Had a great time myself. Meet a few new people off here when wandering about. I wasn't on the rs246 stand (was on the smaller club mrc stand).

I did two runs on the Saturday morning up the sprint in the wet and was very pleased with my times. The better time of the two was 3.92s to 60 and 12.533 1/4 mile. Not bad for the wet. Was going to try a dry run on the Sunday but it was so busy, I didn't bother.

As per my post in the other thread had an excellent day out. Really enjoyed the sprinting in the morning. Managed a 4.36 secs 0 -60mph and a best of 13.5 secs 1/4 mile (this could have been much better but was letting off the power too early  )

Good to meet up with Phil again, Mark, Tony and Musty.

Anyway heres a quick video, excuse the commentary as my brother got a bit excited

Had a great weekend this year, despite the rain. I had a few goes on the 1/4 mile and managed to just beat simons 1/4 mile, but i couldnt get the traction off the line. Sunday was a different story and the rear diff exploded. Pics can be found here http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22714

Still did 0-60 in 4.1 and 12.5 1/4 mile in the pouring rain.

If anyone has any videos of my car on saturday morning, please can they either host them and put a link up, or send me the vid and i will host it. I tried to get Doug (MRC) to take it up the strip so I could hear it from outside, hes glad he didnt now!!!
