Any feedback on these? I'm thinking of getting one for the wife, they are on silly cheap lease deals and PCP's again, looks like a lot of car for the money.

Hi Lofty,
Please can you tell me where the lease deals are?

I'm looking at one for the wife too, any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Jay.

Central vehicle leasing (CVL), and Vehicle Savers seem to be the most competitive, I've also emailed a VW dealer direct as they seem to be quite cheap, my local dealer has offered £246.00 inc vat on a 6+23 business lease on a white 5 door manual with no options but I think I can get it cheaper from this other dealer (not local to me). I'll let you know once he gets back to me, probably Monday now. I can get one on a PCP for £266 per month over 2 years with a £1500 deposit through Drive The Deal which is also tempting me as I'd rather 'own' than lease, that's also a white 5 door manual, DSG adds about £25/30 per month, metallic about £10, 19" alloys about £40. The billy basic car is by far the best buy, saying billy basic it comes with way more kit than the S3 but alcantara/cloth seats rather than leather.I priced a S3 at my dealers and over 3 years with similar deposit its about £200 per month more than the R

Thanks Lofty,

Going to have a look at this next week.

Sounds way too good to be true, but plenty of you have the deal.

Wife has been paying £200 a month for a Peugeot 207 over 3 years, makes this a no brainer.

Cheers,
Jay.

I was going to lease a five door for c.£279pm (personal lease) but was waiting to drive one first and both local (ish) dealers messed about with the demos so this still hasn't happened. One of the dealers is desperate to fet me in a cancelled order one at £320pm but with c.£7k deposit (still has most of their ad dons like GAP, etc, etc so could come done more). Black car, keyless entry, sunroof and DSG. It's not a bad deal for an 'owned' car, but really why would you own it? You are never going to want it after 3-4years max so the lease costs are a no brainier. That said, the deal I was looking at was due to expire at the the end of May. I'm sure there will be others though.

Car arrived Monday morning.

5dr DSG, Lapiz Blue, winter pack, high beam assist, rear airbags and discovery nav.

Only done 100 miles so far.

First impressions good looking car, like the four zorts. Not as nice looking as the RS4. Already had a few compliments.

Build quality is good, far better than wife's Focus ST-2. Although they have missed out on some fairly basic things, like putting the blue door lights and door handle lights on the rear doors, for something that would have cost pennies to do just seems like the car hasn't been finished properly.

Also the voice activation not working on the discovery nav even though all the buttons are there and it's just a software update they want EDTA money for is total BS on a £35,000 car.

Performance wise, whilst I haven't properly driven it in anger yet it is quick, had a little run against a Porsche C4S and he was only slightly pulling away on me, however I wasn't giving it everything as still "technically" running it in.

Road holding is very good, ride is firm but not to firm, cornering is like on rails.

Whilst it's not an RS4 it's a bloody good replacement, only thing it really misses is a V8 sound track.

For the price it's a no brainier. Mine is on 2 year personal lease, 6+23 of £347. Depending on what these depreciate by the payments will probably be less than the depreciation which is mad. I never test drove one prior to leasing but did test a MK7 GTI, the R blows the GTI out the water. For the same car, same period and same deposit VW dealer wanted £520 a month on PCP.

got mine from blue chilli cars (speak to Brad)

The mrs is very pleased with hers, not sure if it will mean the RS4 goes due to lack of use, lovely upgrade from her 8l S3.
