Re: New B7 owner, prepare to flame for being lazy!
Looks good Stretch. You going for the same strength tint all the way round? Not like some dumbass turds do and do black in the rear and nothing on the front?

Re: New B7 owner, prepare to flame for being lazy!
Apparently so Shopp. They are on the car currently and apart from the front discs being destroyed, they work well. Seem to be the done thing in this section. I considered Brembo ones but seems to be a tossup between being supplied Brembo pads or Pagid.

Re: New B7 owner, prepare to flame for being lazy!
The Brembo pads I bought from Audi for my C5 (exact same as B7 pads) had Pagid and Brembo on them.
Just realised that the plus was running a C6 steel setup though.
Not sure how this post helps but I've typed it now.

Re: New B7 owner, prepare to flame for being lazy!
Amar, I don't know if that post makes lots of sense or no sense whatsoever lol, I get what you are saying though.
I got the front discs and the fan washer jet kit for £546.54 including delivery in the end.
After 4 days of having my car after being banned from bouncing the 4 off walls again, madam has informed me that she prefers the 6 and if I don't mind, can she more or less have that one for the foreseeable.
So, I am now stuck without oodles of forced induction torque, with no lovely slushbox, with seats that have now bruised me, are pushed all the way back and reclined to the point where they are touching the back seat, yet my head is still touching the roof liner lol. Going to stick with the sports buckets though as they look cool and I figure that if I am hitting my head with those on lowest, no way will it go well with the comfort seats!
Saying all that though, there is something about this car..........
Need more ideas for things to mod. Holding off the urge for new wheels, especially with putting 255 eagles on as I was unsure about sticking 275 on there...
Damn you!!!!!! I had read and read and also based on the fact that they are already on the car, I ordered them. However, I have since cancelled that order as I am having second thoughts....Shoppinit wrote:Yellow stuff? Really?

Re: New B7 owner, prepare to flame for being lazy!
They're a very good car, no doubt. The only reason I'm not in one is they just don't have the 'splay' room I'm used too in the '6. So I have no idea how you're going to cope. You must look like a contortionists driving that thing.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Yep, I am utterly fixed in one position and cannot move out of it. Keep encouraging me, the more I am stuck with this treacle-like-yet-lovely beast, the less I am going to resist the urge to just hand Doug & Mihnea a blank cheque for supercharged goodness to make it actually go

Re: New B7 owner, prepare to flame for being lazy!
It is fine power-wise honestly, I was just spoiled with all the torque of the 6 and how the power is delivered compared to NA, and the biscuit tin weight of the 456/380 Subaru that this replaced.

Bam - 'Splayed' - only when 2 pedals are in play. Love it, and relate.
Jeez Nick, how tall are you - I am 6ft and plenty of room with buckets and in the back for my two daughters ('faster daddy!').
Looking forward to another epic car development journey, more interesting to many on here than the Scoob legacy.
She who must be obeyed is no fool!

I was 6'7", about the same as Shopp, but with age and a couple of smashed to hell vertebrae I reckon I am a good half inch shorter now. Was 199CM about a month ago at hospital if memory serves.
