Have Audi dropped the oil filter?

Post by kvxxy » Wed Jan 13, 2021 7:36 pm

Rang up my local Audi dealer in Coventry to order some bits, one of them being an oil filter and the guy told me Audi have now dropped that part. Anyone else had this?? Is the filter unique to that engine? Seems a strange part to drop. Anyway can anyone recommend a good alternative? AUTODOC have a K&N at £14 as well as some others which are cheaper. I just want a good one.

Thanks

Kully

Thats the 06A 115 561B also for the A4 or you could use Mann W719/30. I've not had any issues with Mann and there are likely a number of other alternatives out there.

Mann is what I use.

Mann always get a good review. I’ve also used the Bosch one a lot. Both available from ECP

Started using Carparts4less.co.uk instead of ecp . They seem to be even cheaper. Just got a set off yellowstuff pads . Mann oil filter ~ 4£ there

Same company. Just slightly different prices. I always check both.

Yep, discontinued/dropped from VWAG warehouses.

There are still locations around the world that have some remaining stock e.g. USA & Mexico. I've just bought 4 we had in stock here in NZ and the remaining 9 at the regional VWAG warehouse.

FYI Audi Tradition has just added a bunch of C5 RS6 items e.g. carbon airbox and front IC/rad air ducting.
