Servicing - where?
Servicing - where?
Morning all and happy Sunday to you.
I'm in the Thames Valley and need to book my RS4 in for service for the first time in my ownership.
I have heard stories about all the dealers and their varying levels of ineptitude.
Car is under extended warranty so needs to go to Audi for service.
Any recommendations? Reading is my closest one but I'm not adverse to driving to get better service.

Re: Servicing - where?
Does that not invalidate the extended warranty?
Re: Servicing - where?
Umm not sure, worth dropping them a line, they’ll be able to set you straight on that?!?VEA wrote:Does that not invalidate the extended warranty?

Re: Servicing - where?
VRT in Slough are a good independent garage, Audi Reading are ok and you get fixed price servicing as you car is over three years old.
I saw an add somewhere online that Audi Slough were offering 10% of service prices but I find Slough service & sales are totally incompetent and horrible to deal with. Reading is part of the same group but are way easier to deal with, no attitude like Slough.
Link below for VRT, they service our A6 and fitted the Miltek for me on the RS4

Re: Servicing - where?
Might be a bit far for you but I’ve always found Audi Epsom servicing to be fine.
Problem is all main dealers charge ridiculous amounts for the most simplest of things.

Re: Servicing - where?
Could it not go to an Audi recognised Specialist...doesnt that ‘keep’ the warranty?VEA wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 11:59 amMorning all and happy Sunday to you.

Re: Servicing - where?
I have Audi Extended Warranty for my 2015 RS4 I bought in March 2020. I bought from an independent garage who put the car in for new disks and some other bits at a main dealer that my inspection uncovered. Long story short .....main dealer mucked about, ordering wrong parts etc so ended up using another garage.
As I was a bit concerned as I was planning on getting the warranty I mailed them to check;
Good Morning,
Thank you for your email.
Yes you can purchase a warranty, the vehicle does not have to be serviced at an Audi dealership. As long as genuine parts are used, you can have the vehicle serviced at any garage.
Please also retain any invoices and receipts.
Kind Regards,
Xxxxxx xxxx (removed her name as not sure if should share!)

Re: Servicing - where?
Update MRC were unable to confirm so have dropped a note to Audi Warranty to find out as they weren’t answering the phone.

Did you get a quote from Audi & MRC? Interesting to see the difference
