C6 S6 vs RS6 were a world apart. Totally different engine. The S6 sounded better as it was NA but felt lethargic and slow, had poor brakes and looked bland. No tuning options either. RS6 was a monster and very easily tunable to 700+

C7 S6 vs RS6 are not too dissimilar. S6 drives well, shares similar brakes and the engine is almost the same too. With a Stage 1 map provides a lot of fun, and is almost half the price of an RS. All the RS mods fit the S, so downpipes, coolers, plugs, intakes etc so just as tunable as the RS. From 2015+ they come highly specced from factory including double glazing, supersport seats and air suspension, and with a few subtle outside mods can look half decent too!

Tadass910, I suggested the E63 estate for the dog, but she thinks they’re too uncouth the AMGs. Shame, cos I love their soundtrack.

Guy round our way had a C63 and everyone knew him because he was inappropriate with the throttle through the middle of the village. His own village.
So AMG got a bad rap round here. 😂 Shame for me.

I’ll have to slum it with an Audi. Lol.
That’s true amg sounds very best, Bmw and Audi should learn from them)

So I went for the C6 RS6 in the end and I’m well chuffed. Cor blimey they’re quick aren’t they. This is totally standard but wow and many expletives. !!
Love it.
It’s actually smoother about town than was the S6. And the gear map in D seems to suit me better. I felt caught between the gears all the time in the S. This seems about right, with just one or two clicks of the left paddle being used for overtakes.

Yeah I bet. At the moment the performance upgrades seem quite unnecessary. Lol

Comparing RS to RS, absolutely, but I couldn’t afford one of those in a C7
But RS C6 is more of an event to drive than the S C7. Which is what I was after.
The S C7 is a lovely car, but just wasn’t what I was looking for
