Has any one had any issues with the oil strainer, had it replaced/ removed or have any stories to share, please?
Just doing some research on the engine before committing, this worries me but it could just be internet rumours.
One example from our friends across the pond:

Re: Turbo Oil Strainer Stories
Is there any updates on this?
I don’t suppose Audi has done a U-turn on a recall?
I’m potentially going to look at a 2017 C7 S6 with 40k on the clock, and reading this thread has gotten me wondering if I’m about to walk into a world of pain...
I’m aiming to cut down my grief intake, having just ended a long B5 ownership!

Re: Turbo Oil Strainer Stories
Make sure you have a good warranty and going forward, do regular oil changes. I'm also looking at S6's, as long as the warranty will cover this, should be all good.
Maybe look to get an Audi warranty if not covered anymore and factor this into your change over costs.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Re: Turbo Oil Strainer Stories
Is this a problem on UK cars as most of the stories I hear are about cars in The US.
