Lockdown madness in C7 RS6 UPDATED

Post by stevo55 » Mon May 18, 2020 9:31 pm

Hopefully the link will work but looks like a recent (ie roads are empty) video some idiot has taken of himself (on his phone of all things) doing indicated 201 mph on a UK m-way. I’d say the loud high pitched noise is wind noise from the front windows so it may well be a pre -FL version?
Cops will be going all out to catch this guy and what with road signs and ANPR they may stand a good chance. If/when he gets caught (if he doesn’t kill himself first) he will be 5crewed!!!
Utter lunacy.

Better link for those not on FB:

https://youtu.be/TFPApy0YScE

At around 29 secs he passes what looks like a Traffic Officer vehicle...so that’s him on their camera for VRN, plus location and date and time so the ANPR trawl should throw up the ID of the driver.
At 201/202 mph filming one handed on your phone I’d say he’s headed for a news headline and a spell in nick big time.

He writes that it's a mates RS, wonder if this will put a bit of a strain on their friendship when his mate gets the knock at the door?

By way of an update and as predicted:

https://www.ladbible.com/news/uk-two-me ... y-20200612

Not exactly sure how they thought they’d get away with it. Am betting one of them is this bloke:
Image

Nothing quite like putting the video on your own feed then trying to cover your tracks by removing it Image
I reckon 1-2 years prison, 4-5 year ban and a retest and the vehicle seized. Police will seek to make an example of them big time.

I think it will keep the Interest and Values up on the C7 RS6s with little runs out like this.

I salute the Man...

Well they arrested both of them some months back (as predicted they went all out to catch them). Both arrested for dangerous driving and an extra for one of them of aggravated vehicle taking.
Couldn’t find any charging or sentencing online unless anyone else can but I’d be VERY surprised if they got away with it and aren’t in jail. Maybe you can send your salutes to them in nick?
Pair of complete dickhead5 who could have very easily killed a bunch of people for their little bit of social media ‘fame’.

Ha ha they wish.
Back in the day hackers used to have that little escape route from prison whereby the Police/Feds/whoever gave them a choice-work for us or jail.
Nowadays it’s a case of ‘well the person that caught you already works for us so off to jail you go sh1tbag’
