I was in the market for the Macan turbo but a guy up the road just turned up with a new one. I live in a small town where everyone talks (you know the score) just thought nope, and went with the X3M. Something a bit different

It’s is because of the 992 that I could not afford the turbo Macan ! 😂

Yes very much know the small town thing, not helped that I have almost matching private plates on my cars and our office is on the main road in to our town with the cars nicely parked clearly outside the office when my wife’s comes in to see me

The new Macan is lovely. The inside is deffo 100% upto date now. Still a cracking engine in the "S", so much so the turbo has adopted the same engine just with more power

Are the same engines? I think S has the 3.0 out of the S4 etc and the Turbo has the 2.9 out of the RS4.

So the X3MC is here. Only done 600 miles so far.

Interesting car.

Very Very strong engine and I can only rev to 5500rpm at the moment. Redline is 7200rpm.
Great gearbox, although it does not like 8th gear. I guess its built always wanting to play.
Suspension is pretty brutal. All the online reviews are about right I would say. On the plus side it handles way better than it should for an SUV.
Tech is pretty awesome, loads of things to play with and set up as you like. Seat heating/cooling is especially good. You can set a cold temp (to put on the heater) and a hot temp(to blow cold air through the seats) when the values are reached
Exhaust note is ok, OPF kills the noise
