Misano RS4 - Details and Ceramic Coating

Post by richj » Tue Jul 09, 2019 8:18 pm

Having picked up my third RS4 a couple of weeks ago I finally got her detailed and ceramic coated - absolutely delighted with the results.

After a B7 and a B8 I wasn't convinced about a V6 ......until I drove it :D

Now she looks as good as she goes :redrs4:

Looks lovely, Misano does polish up well - had my Misano RS4 coated too - the product used was Gyeon MOHS and despite the rave claims it didn't last very well. By the time I parted with it (still at West London Audi I see) the tailgate and LHR door were noticeably marred. I'm assured that the coating application instructions have changed from Gyeon to fix.

So what company's product dis your detailer use?
2020 F3 RSQ3 Std, 400PS, Daytona Grey/black Ara blue interior, Pano, C&S pack, Red calipers, HBA, TP monitoring, 5yr Warranty, Cete AVC, EBC Redstuffs
Gone, 2016 8U RSQ3 Performance
Gone, 2018 B9 RS4
Gone, 2015 8U RSQ3

Thanks guys 😀 I had a Misano B7 then a Sepang B8 - both great colours to polish.

The detailer used GTechniq Crystal Serum after taking all the swirl marks away - even the non-petrolheads I know have commented on the shine.

I've always had the Autoglym Lifeshine stuff previously but I do think it's another level - only time will tell how long it lasts but I like polishing cars anyway 😎

I had Crystal Serum on my RS4 in Panther Black and it lasted for about 1.5 years before the water runs were visible. There was no marring or swirls apparent though.

Car looks awesome btw!

Picked up my misano red RS4 Wednesday. Still getting to know the car, but blown away with the speed and acceleration.
