Leaking Shocks - Who Recharges DRC?
Hi Chaps, Just been told I have a leaking rear shock. If I replace said shock do I have to go to the main dealer to get the system recharged? I'm in Kent if that helps.

You don't have to use Audi, just need to find someone who has the right equipment/experience. I decided to get my Audi dealer to evacuate and recharge my RS4 DRC system for peace of mind. The cost was £180.70 +VAT.

Yes, however you'd be driving a de-pressurised system to the dealer and risking the expensive central valves to damage.

Re: Leaking Shocks - Who Recharges DRC?
Does not the system have to be recharged before the car is dropped back onto the ground? Hence driving would be completely out of the question since it would damage/ruin the shock absorber.

The shocks are buggered front left and rear right so apart from the Valve I cant see the issue if driven carefully to the workshop although I may be wrong

Re: Leaking Shocks - Who Recharges DRC?
plus oil would still be in the central valve but not pressurised unless mistaken

Your new shocks would have no oil in them.
