Re: Tyre choice
Stick with the Pilot 4 S tyres.
Re: Tyre choice
Why not replace them with the same?

Re: Tyre choice
Don’t confuse PS4 with PS4S - the latter are successors to the PSS and are far superior tyres.

Re: Tyre choice
Pilot Sport 4 are pretty good, I’m happy with them.
Or you could try Vredestein. Seems like an underrated brand.

Re: Tyre choice
They’re OK - not a budget choice by any stretch, and definitely better than Vredesteins - but they’re not really comparable to the PS4S.vailpilgrim wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 5:00 pmPilot Sport 4 are pretty good, I’m happy with them.

Re: Tyre choice
Quite a good piece on the differences between three Michelins, PS4, PS4S and a more track-orientated tyre. I went for the PS4S and am happy with them, but haven't tried the other two.

Discussion over on Audizine about a Firestone option:

No opinion myself, but interesting commentary.
I'll likely be going PS4S in the spring, when it's time to replace my current PSS, with which I've been quite happy.

Re: Tyre choice
Hi I suggest you to go with Michelin PSS. I am a tire Shop owner, I own a B7 RS4 saloon and have tried some different tires in my car.
PSS is a High performance street Tire and handles great in wet conditions. Another option is Michelin Cup 2, the best Tyre you can use in my opinion but dangerous in wet Roads.
I own the Rs4 for almost a year now, when I replaced the old Michelin’s PSS with a new pair, i took the car on a country road for a test, the car was 100% better on handling and reduced understeer on tight corners.
Try to stay away from other tire brands !
I currently use Michelin PSS.

Re: Tyre choice
Went with the Michelin PS4s very happy with the choice thank you all for input to my question
Re: Tyre choice
They will take a few miles to be at their absolute best - I'm low mileage myself and they improved further over the first couple of months - particularly in terms of front end bite.
