Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Hi
I have a 2007 b7 with I believe RNS-E...but I can’t find the multichanger. I’m assuming it should be in the glove box?
Was this optional? Am I going mad?

Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
It should be in the glovebox at the top, there should be a slot where it lives. Post a photo.
I’ve got one that isn’t connected anymore as I swapped my headunit. Give me a shout if you want it.
Cheers

Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
This is what I have...and yep, very grimy...haven’t had a chance to clean it since getting it last week.
Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
The cd changer should be where the black plastic cubby is but it looks like that’s an iPod dock so I would assume it’s the MMI.

Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Or...any idea what ‘version’ of iPod I need to buy. Can I get a converter - summing to plug into it but then Bluetooth / stream from my phone???
Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
That’s the iPod dock, so you don’t have a CD changer. Buy a tune to air device and plug it into the dock. Then stream your music via Bluetooth.
Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Bit daft reverting back to old tech really, bit like getting rid of your cd changer and getting a cassette player. If you still want a price I can give you one.
This would be your best bet.

Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Yep works well and keeps it all looking OEM. You can disconnect the iPod dock and plug in a CD player at any time. I don’t think it needs coding, but it’s been a long time since I did it.
Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Bovee (used to be called Viseoo) Tune2Air WMA3000A I think. c.£80 on Amazon. NB. I think that’s the right model code, but check before you buy.

Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
I have a tune 2 air in mine and its great, can use the head unit to skip tracks mut it doesn’t display track names etc
2007 B7 RS4 Saloon, Phantom Black, Forge Oil Cooler Kit, custom home made air feed, H&R Coilovers, H&R anti roll bars, 10mm H&R Spacers, Milltek decat downpipes, Milltek Non Res Valved Exhaust, Reyland Motorsports front & rear discs with Hel braided Hoses, full underbody overhauled inc powdercoated subframes and arms, 034 solid subframe bushes and every joint, arm or bush replaced.
Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Brill. As long as I can stream and I assume, use the phone....i’ll Be ok with that.
Re: Multi-changeer CD - missing???
Just to add to the discussion, you have a Mk1 RNS-e with the iPod dock. It was optional instead of the CD Multi changer. I’m pretty sure it’s not a case of plug and play to swap them. The cable from the head unit is different and also, I’m pretty sure it needs to be coded.
The Bluetooth dongle is by far the easiest way to go.
