Gear box oil

Post by MrRSB7 » Fri Dec 14, 2018 3:57 pm

After recently purchasing my b7RS4 I wanted to get the gearbox and diff oils replaced..... AUDI BRISTOL informed me there was no need.... these oils are guaranteed for the life of the vehical and will never need changing

Bit long winded but have a read of this.

I’ll be changing my box and diff oil when I do a 20k service. For all it costs, surely it’s better to be safe than sorry with piece of mind.

I’m pretty sure what Audi are telling you is right according to them so just going by what they are told.

Cheers

Officially it’s for life, but it is best to replace. I used Redline from memory.

Sadly I read the Audi position as the life of the vehicle and their view is the vehicle life is a lot shorter than we’d all like to believe. For this reason please change all driveline fluids.

I used redline MT-90. Nice shifts.
