Power seems about right then. Anyone else had an 'MRC generic' map to compare output?

Power seems right for a car that needs carbon cleaning. Forgive me not wanting to look back through all the pages but has it has a recent carbon clean?

Picking up from Chris tomorrow. Can't wait to get the car back. Full list of changes over the last 3 or so weeks are:
  • Full stage 2 manifold
  • Stage 2 MRC remap
  • Break calipers refurbed, powder coated in pastel orange with some new decals
  • Wheels refurbed + powder coated in satin anthracite
  • New fuel filter
  • Health check
  • Carbon clean. Chris said it was quite bad in my engine so should notice a considerable difference
  • JC WeldFab full exhaust with matte black tips
Once I have it back I'll get it cleaned up and take some nice pictures/videos :)
I thought you were getting MRC to tune it?
Who are these RSTuning guys?

Spoke to Chris, this was his response:

"RS Tuning dyno reads low, I don’t use it purely because of this. I had a stage 2 customer with a Golf R who had it dyno’d there at 351bhp, he then used another dyno local on the same day and hit 389bhp.The graph looks good but it is down around 30bhp and 30nm.

I have dyno’d other B7 RS4’s at AET Motorsport over in Normanton, Wakefield. They use a hub pack dyno and give power at the wheels."

Sounds about right, 30bhp would put it at 418bhp, which seems much better. However until I dyno it again I won't really know for sure.

So I have some sad news, although I expect this will make some of you smug because you "told me so"... I'm having issues with the respray. In two areas (boot lid and driver door) there is some blistering, most likely caused by moisture in the line. The other thing is that I have really tried my hardest to get on with this Papaya colour, but its just a bit too much.

The blistering needs to be nipped in the bud sooner rather than later and may appear in other areas too, so I've made the decision to have it sprayed again. This time it will be done at Project Customs in Leeds. These guys have a proper spray booth and are McLaren's go-to bodyshop (hopefully they don't mind me saying that on here) so I know the work will be of a very good standard. Consequently they will charge a fair amount more, but being so established means I will be able to take it straight back if there are any issues.

The guy who did the Papaya has since had a heart attack and shut up Shop - maybe it was my job that caused it :D

Anyway, I have learned a very expensive lesson that I now have to rectify. So say goodbye to the Papaya RS4... :yellowrs4: I really like Nardo Grey so will probably go for that, a bit more understated and refined. Other colour suggestions welcome if you have any.

Fortunately my calipers are already the right colour :D

Oh man, that sucks!

Now that we know what colour your primer will be, you should finish it in this colour:

Grigio Reventon
Paint code: LAMBOR-0114 - PPG code: 0114

It will look awesome on a B7 'loon. FACT.

Is that a matte paint? Can't really find many good images of that colour.

Too close to the original colour. I quite like Grigio Lynx though.

EDIT: I spoke to Project Customs about the Grigio Lynx colour and apparently its the exact same formula as Audi's Daytona Grey, so not as unique as I was hoping.
