Ouch. This was a constant fear of mine with my 40mm springs on the 6.

Here’s hoping it rolls back okay. Are you coilovers or springs?

Cheers

B16 coilovers.

I wouldn’t mind but it had two new front wings about 3 month ago!

That’s not so handy. I’m assume you are just going to raise it up a bit.

Cheers

The optimum for this car is 20 to 25 mm , this keeps it practical , reasonably comfrotable and avoids issues like this . the fitting of a coil over kit offers 35 to 50 mm its simply too much even though many think it looks good . There is always a limit to the safe lowering of a car with out upsetting the practicality. this unfortunate issue is probably due to excessive drops even though it appears that the wheels and tyres are standard so it isnt aggrivated by bigger ones. Not familar with B 16 but most Coil overs have shorter body than a standard shock . the length of the shock body is the limiter for wheel movement and stops the wheel hitting the body work , if the shock body is shorter that will cause this problem .

i,m going to be probabaly repled nastly but anyhow , did you get your geometry set ???all folk want their cars stanced so thats an issue, do you know your castor .camber and steering geometry when the car is lowered too much , its not like the geometry on a race car as its all adjustable whereas a road car is not , if you lower the suspension on front you have increased camber which wears the inside of the tyres and also you have toe out which wears the inside of tyres rear lower you have camber too , so get your alignment checked and get adjustable top arms to set the camber , but then it rubs the wings as the top of the tyre will be further out , so with my b16 its about 10mm lower but still all in spec , just ! adjusted the toe by 1 mm , but sounds like nothing ,but if you drive fast you are loading up the suspension bushes so you get toe out thus why you gt steering wander and tyre wear , rant over
Phantom black saloon ,PES M112 Supercharged 520ps/595nm K&N filter, 100 cell milltek cats, res valved milltek system. 8 and 10mm H&R spacers.H&R roll bars, "smoke chrome " alloy refurb. JHM Quickshifter, Bilstein B16 coilovers , uprated diff mount ,50/50 devils own WM kit so 1.4 litres/min in intake approx 10% more power and torque
1/4 mile 12.01 secs 123.5mph

Thanks for putting "rant over" at the end of your post. As I started reading it, I was thinking to myself "in the absence of any apparent full stops, how on earth will I know when this diatribe is at an end?". Luckily, you put something in there other than a full stop or an exclamation mark, so we all knew that you'd finished.

Sorry Jon - can't offer any useful advice.

This same thing happened to mine with the same coilovers set a little higher than yours. I’m also on OE wheels and no spacers. Hopefully rolling it back works for you. Mine started to make some pucker markers on the fender from the pressure put on the bent part. May need to bring it to a PDR guy now.

That’s my thoughts, get them rolled, if need be I’ll get PDR. All else fails I’ll buy a new wing.

More than happy to listen to rants. The geometry has been set. They back is correct as it is adjustable, the front in set but the camber is wrong as you have explained. Doesn’t affect the handling as you rightly pointed out it isn’t a race car so no issue if it slightly out.

As for tyre wear, so be it. If I have to put tyres on it 30% earlier than every one else does then that’s the price I’ll pay.
