No, not the RS4, drove an SQ5 with and without and didn't like it. I must have watched nearly every YouTube video review of the RS4 - it's not a favourite with the journos.

So what spec are you thinking of?

Looks like a nice spec - if it were me I'd drop the dynamic steering option (you still get the Auto/Comfort/Dynamic option in Drive Select without it - and in Dynamic mode it's perfectly weighted - just right) and add a Pano roof as the all black interior is going to be kind of dark. Or, alternatively spec the head-up display, I've never owned a car with one and I really like it. Folding mirrors would be a must have - at £125 it would be a no brainer.

DRC is a good choice - it's an expensive option but does provide an amazing driving experience, no pitching or diving on acceleration or braking and a dead flat cornering experience with the standard SportDiff doing it's stuff it makes the RS4 seem shorter than it really is.

I think I’m in the minority’s, but I can’t understand how anybody sits there and says “yes I’ll spend £300 on heating my rear seats”. Do you realise heated front seats are standard on the B9 and all the £300 gives you is heated rears?

Personally I switched of DS in my B8, a horrible thing that killed the car when activated. It was mandatory as part of the sport pack on the B8 but luckily on the B9 it’s separate and can be avoided like the devil it is.

Looks a good spec, the only thing I’d add is Auto Folding/dimming mirrors and memory seats.

yes i realise the 300 is just for the rears but i care about my passengers i like to give them a big cuddle & hug when there in the car
i have now included the folding mirrors and memory seats in the spec now
just wish they would pull the finger pout and start building them again

interested in how you managed to deactivate the dynamic steering on the B8

Steering is/was configurable through the ‘individual’ mode in the drive select.

That just changes the steering weight, Dynamic Steering actively changes the steering ratio dependent on speed.

I've driven both options back to back on the B9 and there is no difference in steering feel, they're both still electric systems with typical Audi 'feel'. The Dynamic Steering equipped car felt sharper and nimbler turning into slow speed corners, as it didn't require as much steering lock to make the turning angle required. I'd spec it out of choice but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if I couldn't have it, as there are more important options to tick.

ah sorry i miss understood i thought you had found a way to disable it via Vag Com (me being a thick oil field trash reading ad righting are hard) :D

i have mine on dynamic all of the time on the B8 the comfort setting is too sloppy for me
i might just leave it on as im currently happy with the way the B8 feels
i actually liked it better before the software update that reduced the stiffness through the steering wheel (before that many complained the weight was too heavy)

Every one of the huge number of reviews that I read/watched that commented on the dynamic steering said don't get it. This seems to indicate it is either 1) a poor option or 2) the reviewers are copying each other (I don't discount the second option).
Every test drive I had (3 ) had dynamic steering. I couldn't tell the difference but obviously you can't push hard on an accompanied test drive.

The idea of the computer changing the steering ratio really puts me off so I'm glad I didn't get.

It was speced on my car but I do suppose you could do perfectly without it.

I drove both with and without, and ordered without
It’s better calibrated than it was in previous incarnations, but it doesn’t add anything to the way the car steers other than to reduce lock marginally at bigger speeds, although is more consistent than it was in the b8
