Found my first issue with my B9 in that the boot is marginally narrower than the b8 and I can only get 2.5 sets of tyres in the boot rather than 3
Might take it back for a refund 😂😂

Haha. Why we should RTFM. Those that have turned off the convenience key, what you’ll find is you can still lock the car via the touch pad on any door handle with the key in your pocket. I’ve been having a swat. Lol

Ooh will try that tomorrow!

Closing the boot with the lock button is also a good one as boot shuts and car locks too.

That one scares me though just in case I was to drop the key in the boot as it locks up. I haven’t tried it whilst I have the spare key with me but I will try one of the days. Reading the manual it does say that it won’t lock if you leave the key in the boot if you have the convenience feature but it doesn’t say what It will do if convenience keys is switched off.

Sometimes mine won’t operate and I think it is when the key is to close to the boot and I have convenience switched off. So I believe it works both with it on and off. You can also close the boot by holding down the boot open on the fob, which is new to me.

Another new one. The kick under bumper also shuts the boot. Convenience needs to be on though.

On my RS6 i don't have the advanced key but if I open the boot when car is locked using the boot release button on the key fob then put the key in the boot and close it, it doesn't lock like it would if the key wasn't in the boot so I imagine your cars will also be this clever.
