So Graeme from Order to delivery how long was yours
About two months, but the dealer ‘found me’ an earlier build slot 👍
Longer if you wanted it painted .... I’m boring myself now!

so if i order in May get in July August for the summer

will have to have a chat with the dealer soon i think

on a side note any of you guys sourced black rings for the front and back yet
It depends if your dealer has already allocated slots. I think if they don't have any slots within their franchise group, it could be a 3-4months wait
Most dealers will anticipate a certain amount of sales within their group for a model such as an Rs4 and have preset production slots with their name on them already.
It's worth phoning around a few dealers in different franchises to find out if they provide a quicker turnaround assuming you don't have a special price for one dealer specifically

Had a better offer now. 5.5% off. That’s from an Audi dealer direct.
I’m going to go back to my local dealer now to see if they can get to that.
Andy, have you ordered from them? I’ve never bought through a broker and to be honest don’t feel totally comfortable doing so.
Will probably be using Audi finance so would assume it would be easier keeping it all ‘in house’.

I know buyers don’t want to reveal real discounts but when quoting it would be good to know what the relevant factors are such as trade in, finance, apr, gfv’s, extra’s thrown in etc...I have seen people post massive discounts off new cars such as the RS6 which are never achievable if you don’t take finance for example.

5.5% is subject to taking Audi PCP deal.
That's off the total price with extras, circa 74k before discount.
Think that's pretty good TBO.
If I remember correctly I think I got around 11% discount on my B8 RS but that was at the end of the model run.

From what I remember it wasn’t long in to the B8 life that the big discounts started, particularly if you took out the finance that you can pay off in the cooling off period.

I wasn’t too impressed given i had paid full list for mine, being an early adopter.

Not an RS4 but may be a decent rule of thumb in terms of the time-line. Picked up a brand new RS5. Pre-specc'd un-registered stock. Managed 19.2% discount overall on a fairly well-specc'd car. If the RS4 follows the same pattern then larger discounts should be available 6-7 months from launch date towards the end of new reg sales quarter. FYI best discount on a factory order was 15.2% from Lincoln Audi.

These were structured based on Audi Finance contribution on a 5.1 or 5.2% APR deal (5.2 is the norm but I managed 5.1 for some reason) as well as a substantial dealer contribution. A bonus Audi UK contribution of £3k was available on selected stock cars (mostly medium to high spec).

Dealers all saying that BREXIT and new £40k+ road tax rules are having an impact on sales.

I had arround 25% discount - but thats not unusual in Switzerland if you buy a new car. Fleet discount ranges from 5 - 15% or even more, depending on what contracts your employer has with the respective car dealership.

I also got a quote for an RS6 (Latest model) and since its the end of the current model lifecycle, it was already 1/3 off.

Not sure you can compare the 5 to the 4 given the press reviews for the two cars, but time will tell. Supply and demand will influence the price and that can also be governed by outside factors such as consumer confidence.

Mine was a 3.5% discount in the end, no trade in and Audi finance on a pcp. Ordered Dec 2017.

Yeah I ordered throught drive the deal and have just had an email today to say if everything goes well then I can collect on Saturday :beerchug:
I was quite sceptical about the whole broker thing too, as it is my first time using a broker. However everything went perfect and drive the deal were excellent (I will deffinitely be recomending them to all my friends and familly and using them again myself in the future). Drive the deal just put you in contact with a dealership and then you only deal with the dealership.

I didnt take finance, but i dont think that affected the discount.
