My car is currently in with Audi. All 4 shocks being replaced under warranty. I’m very pleased.

Mine needed two new DRC control units / valves too as running with low pressure has damaged them.
Ahhh!!! Don’t tell me that 😫

Got mine back yesterday four new shocks👍 I did mention possible damage to control units and valves but they said they were checked and all ok. I don’t even know if they are things you can actually check??? Been told to give it a few hundred miles to settle in 👍

My damage was obvious (leaks from valves) and knocking was back within 1000 miles of new dampers, sooo...back in for new valves. Trouble free ever since (10,000 miles now0.

Just as a crumb of comfort and touching wood whilst I write, 20k trouble free miles since my DRC was replaced with 4 upgrade spec dampers

I’m keeping my fingers crossed👍 I think I’m just hearing things now every little bump. Perhaps I just need to stick a loud exhaust on it😂

Is there a TPI number for the upgraded DRC shocks? Does the TPI require all four shocks being replaced?

I need to book mine into Audi as the ride quality has gone to <beep> but there is a knocking from the rear when going over bumps at slow speed...
RS6 PE - Current
RS4 (B8.5) 2015 - Sold
A4 3.0 TDI Quattro BE Avant - Gone
Focus ST170 - Garaged

I wager the knocking from the rear is the DRC control valve and that your pressure is down. Exact symptoms I had second time around. First time was knocking from the front.

I still think mine is not right. Even with four new dampers/shocks it doesn’t feel right. I took it to QST today to have the Milltek fitted and on the ramp one of the guys noticed the FNS shock was not fully seated. Audi are complete dog <beep> where do they train their idiots ffs 😫😫😫

Out of interest, what causes the knocking if all four dampers are new ??? Is it just down to the pressure control which when damaged lets pressure out ?? I’m not sure if I’m just imagining things but it just doesn’t feel or sound right.

Original dampers were prone to knock even when pressure is OK - they were modified “acoustically”. Otherwise it is low pressure - ie leaking. It is a VERY high presssure system.

Fl went into audi monday for some warranty items and asked them to look at suspension as felt it was overly harsh and juddering on full lock slow speed driving. Both front shocks were found to be leaking so they are replacing under warranty. £1650.00 of work though ! They say rears are fine?? Car on 40k miles.

Oh I take it FL is not fitted with the modified dampers ? At least it’s under warranty 👍

Just noticed your previous cars Lancia Integrale👍 Bet you wish you still owned it they are commanding silly money now.
