New C5 Owner
New C5 Owner
Hi guys & gals
After probably a year of lurking I thought it was time to sign up and say hello. This is my first fast Audi but not my first 'RS' car having owned a Mk1 Focus RS for 3 years. Both cars were 'Affordable Dream Cars' from my teens and I have now been lucky enough to own both of them. Had the car now since July and its been an absolute blast.
Car History
The Car came with a ton of paperwork, and with the help of the previous owner I managed to work out some of the history of the car. In 2005 it had a full Miltek system fitted, including sports cats and downpipes, and had a Stage 3 AMD remap which had the car kicking out 519bhp. It also had H&R springs added at that time, both previous owners think it is on H&R coil-overs but the paperwork shows just springs. Going to ask them to have a look when its down there in Feb.
In between then and when the previous owner bought it the car had the downpipes and sports cats removed and replaced with original ones and also re-mapped to Stage 1 AMD. The previous owner took it to MRC and got it dyno'd with the Stage 1 AMD remap and it was at 485bhp. At the moment it has just ticked over the 117k mark.
Ownership & Plans
Word can't not describe how much fun driving this car is, whenever I get in it and drive I am always grinning like a loon, which gets some very odd reactions from my neighbours. In my time owning it so far I have only had to replace a cv joint which was making a weird clicking sound when pulling off.
I have the car booked in to MRC on 12th February to get the following done:
F125 switch - Error code picked up last week
Stage 1 Remap - I think with it's history this was a no brainer
Health Check
Have them check the suspension to see what is actually fitted to the car
If you have managed to get this far I salute you. Thank for reading & here are some 'arty' pics & a short rough edited video of me and my mates M2:

Yeah wasn't sure if that was the best username, the family keep calling the car 'the vagmachine' due to the private plate and its stuck so I thought why not.

Re: New C5 Owner
Cheers,
Hoping to get more video shot in the near future to finally finish it off also looking at going to Wales & Peak District at some point this year to do some shooting with drones.
Thats what I am lead to believe from the previous owner.

Welcome along. I hope you enjoy being poor and destitute ?
Re: New C5 Owner
Haha, your not far off.
I was well aware of the fact that it would be quite pricey owning one of these.
It'll be rice and beans for dinner for the rest of the year.

Ahh, THAT car It was on my shortlist last year (May/June), when I bought mine.
I recognised the story of the power reduction straight away, and then clocked the red lens deletes above the rear number plate.
Welcome aboard.
