Best Anti Roll Bar Connecting Links

Post by 215m3 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 1:10 pm

Hi

I am looking to replace the rear ARB with the 034 Motorsport version. As the connecting links are probably worn, it would be best to replace the front and rears at the same time.

Has anyone changed these with upgraded parts? The only ones I can see are by 034 as well, but they are pricey. Anyone know of any other makes?

I just changed my rear one to a B7 RS4 piece a few years ago. I read that it was a bad idea to upgrade the front one because it leads to even more understeer.

I heard that too, just upgrading the rear.

It is the connecting links my question is about. Upgrade these to poly versions, or stick with the Audi parts?

I think I stuck with the OEM ones but I've upgraded other stuff like the snub mount (Apikol) and control arms (034) with aftermarket stuff to positive effect. Personally I wouldn't bother doing the front if they're okay and the FARB isn't coming off anyway.

Ok, thanks for your advice.

I do know though, that if rubber components have been put on the car at the same time, by replacing one set with new ones sometimes shows up weakness through age in the one's not replaced.

For the cost of the front units to replace, I will check them to see if they have movement.
