On The Lookout

Post by jimmckay9999 » Wed Jan 31, 2018 11:02 pm

This RS4 itch just won't go away and feel like every car buff should have owned one at some point.
Asking for a bit of advice on what sort of budget I need to be looking at for a 15 year RS4 on a private sale.
Im ideally looking at sub 30K miles.
I know they are spec dependent but is 35K a realistic ballpark figure on a private sale.
advice much appreciated.
Also is the DRC knocking still an issue on these?
Thanks

£35k feels light to me. As for the DRC knock my 15 reg car suffered from it, had new front shocks. So yes

I sold my Feb 15 (64 plate) in November for £39500. so 35k is way low for a 15. also, might be worth buying from a dealer - offers you more protection...

have a look at autocentre in inverurie (they have a website too...) they always have good RS stock.

I had 38 in mind when I started looking early this month. However I just picked up a 2015 with 24K miles on it for just over 35k, Nicely spec'd too.

One thing I found was some Audi franchises, Marshall etc don't advertise on the main channels like Autotrader, hence the car I bought was in stock for a while and was getting reduced every 2 weeks!

Good luck.

Ok thanks.
Was that a private sale?
Sepang Blue(15 plate) on Audi approved at 37.5K with 30K miles so I didn't think £35K was a million miles away.

Jimmckay9999, you won't find a better one for the money! And I'd agree its a better car without dynamic steering, and with no DRC there is no constant worry of it failing and costing you a fortune if/when outside the warranty

Thanks for the heads up.
Just picked these messages up as I was away for the weekend.
Had my head turned last week at Porsche and stuck a deposit on the new Cayman GTS.
Not exactly similar cars but man maths and dubious reasoning took over.

Hi
Is that your RS4 for sale again at Autocentré Inverurie?

I am thinking of looking at it ( when lock down is over )

Anything worth noting about your old car.

Thanks

Lee
