Cheers, it looked like engine oil. The oil cooler pipes had only just been replaced sadly.

Old cars are ripe for breaking especially if you've not paid for them and there is still RS tax on new spares. They are in high demand on eBay etc.

Engine and Gearbox £3.5k and RNS-E £500 before you start on interior, alloys and all the bespoke little switches.

Pains me to think such a good example is gone due to some scumbags.

I was reading an article that they steal cars worth less than an RS to break as it's all free money as far as they are concerned. They don't consider it in the terms of hours expended to break them like legitimate businesses.

Roughly where in the country was this? Twats, in daylight too! Thought they had turned their attention to the newer stuff these days, obviously not!

Solihull? That seems to be the car crime capital of the moment.

Car crime is up 30% in the last few years already.

It was near Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

I don't expect to see it again and neither do the insurance. Shame if it's broken, such a waste.
They could have taken it before I ploughed thousands into it recently.

It's sod's law. No one has a car stolen before they've spent a fortune on everything :(

Are you going to get another?

So sorry to hear about that man. I didn’t think this car would still be stolen for money. Maybe for joy rides. I’m aurprised they’re gonna split it as the community is quite small and niche. There is a breakers in Warwick that has a lot of C5 RS6’s. I’ll try and get the name. Maybe be worth while letting them know in case the dicks that stole it offer them parts. I’ll have to be more careful too as I’m only in Coventry. Not too far from Nuneaton.

Fook. The RS4 the other day was in Hinckley, and the A7 a couple of weeks ago was in Hinckley too and now this is Nuneaton! Is this the new Birmingham?

My boss lives not too far away from Nuneaton and had his house broken into for the keys to his rs7. Luckily the police found it a few miles away parked and the dash ripped out

Not for a while, Having it stolen twice in 3 years and knowing we've been watched at home to track our movements is too much for now. If we move house I'll consider it. <beep> that these scumbags have affected us to the point of not wanting the hassle.

I only hope they don't break it as it was a good un.

Until I know I can prevent the same from happening again it would be madness. They will only come back and lift it's replacement.

Any <beep> trying to steal mine is in for a surprise atm.
No steering wheel or front seats :)

I have plenty of weapons in the house if they decide to try to take my keys. And 3 dogs, some of them very fierce ;)

Gutted for you mate.

Ouch, sorry to hear this man :-(

I hope the insurance company give you an honest hassle-free pay-out at least.

Think I might sort my garage out quicker than I was going to,.....get the 6 away.

I would think these days that loss adjusters would struggle to argue the toss that the RS6 value is peanuts, if you have a specific spec and mileage etc then it should be easy to prove what current prices are for well sorted models. :nogarors4:
