New disks not sided

Post by beesheppy » Tue Mar 21, 2017 7:52 pm

Hi fowks

Just got new disks in today but they look like they are both from the same side is this normal on the r8 I thought they would have been curving same way when fitted

The RS4, RS3 and RS6 all have identically drilled discs on the front. Not sure about the R8 but I can see a theme here with other Audis so wouldn't be surprised. Funilly enough, the rear discs on my B7 are handed and drilled properly.

Identically as in both disks look same sat side by side but fitted each sides holes curve opposite ways?

Yes, the discs are identical so when fitted they go in opposite directions

Same part number for both front discs. Rear discs on B7 are handed and have different part.numbers for left and right.

Numerous people warp the side that doesn't flow the right way across the different ranges (2 of my mates in RS3's), I can't remember which side.
