Yes Rob. All it does is hold part of the wheel lining in place but with all the other fixings stil place when you remove it you'll see it still doesn't move anywhere. But even with the screw removed I still rub slightly socmight raise it a little.
I don't have any issues on the rear with 15mm spacers but my rear sits higher than yours.

Isn't a different tyre size the solution then ? I find the original 285/30/21 tyres pretty high and square on the wheels, think with 275/30/21 or even 275/25/21 you will have more space (obviously to lower the car further), and it will look much better.

Thats good to hear, job for Friday then. I must admit i cringe on full lock just now other than that no issues apart from huge dips in the road.

I'd rather not use either of those sizes. 275/30/21 are have a 3mm lower sidewall so give a harsher ride but more importantly the car will sit 3 mm closer to the ground but there will also be a 3mm bigger gap between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch which has the same look as raising the car slightly but with lower ground clearance.Floorit wrote:Isn't a different tyre size the solution then ? And a 275/25 tyre will be restricted in options of tyres. And is massively different is height to the OEM tyres (by 33mm odd).

275/25 is too much probably indeed, think I go for the 275/30, only small difference but maybe just enough. Mine doesn't clear. Well, if I clear it, it reappaers immediately. I guess this should make it easier to trace. And I can't really take it back to Audi for warranty, but I did think about taking it to them to investigate with the understanding if it is not related to the springs then I will pay for the work but if it is unrelated then it should be covered by warranty. But I'll try and get underneath and see if it is anything obvious first. The error code tells me which sensor it is (there are 4 of them, I think your VAG man said there was 2). The workshop manual says you need a headlight recalibration after changing the sensor though, hence why I thought about taking it to Audi.RS6chris! wrote:Had mine reset Mike

Deffo seems to be level sensor....although my VAG man says fault was wiring related?
Always happens when fully loaded and Strangley when roads and car is filthy???....could just be coincidence?

I think your guys are right Chris. I just spent hours taking apart the front right hand side trying to find this bloody level sensor. VCDS says front right sensor.
After having a proper good look and examing the parts list and workshop manual in great detail I find where it should be connected and there is nothing there. A quick look on the left hand side and there it is! I didn't need to take all the bits off in the end! I wonder if VCDS means right as you are looking at the car rather than driving it? On my B7 when I had a fault with the right hand engine mount it was the right hand as driving rather than looking at the car so assumed the same here.
Anyway the pulg looks to be connected still so either a faulty sensor or wiring fault!

Easy enough to find the front left (When you are looking on the left and not the right). VCDS defo says front right though. Can't see anything obvious with the front one. Maybe I need to look at the rear too; perhaps it meant rear right instead of front right. Failing that guess I need to try a new sensor.
Also I'll give my battery a charge, just running a scan now and seem to be a lot of random errors; normally points to a low battery im my experience.
