Hello guy's,
Some news from a RS6 from France...and those pipes :)
I have checked the pipes on mine (83000 km), seeing previous photo... I was a bit afraid but in fact they seem in good condition :

To avoid any start of rust, I have sprayed those with an an anti-rust spray + frameto with a brush

To be honest I think it's a problem in the uk with bad winters a lot of wet weather and debris on the road flicking up and chipping the paint and letting it rust. what it should have had is a rubberised paint on it to stop the chance of exposing bare metal to allow oxidisation or it should have been covered in !

The UK changed to wet salt a couple if years ago which extremely corrosive, Volkwagon wrote a letter to the UK government about the damage they were seeing on UK cars asking them to stop using it.
