Audi rs6 avant 2013

Post by Audiifan » Wed Dec 30, 2015 2:47 pm

Dear forumers,

I wonder which size of rims and tire sizes best for winter with lot of snow, I red somewhere that we can go with the same for front and rear) are 245/40 R20 99V or 275/35 R20 102W is it right choice?

Thanks

Depends on the width of the wheels... standard RS6 20"s wear 275/35R20, so stick with that.

Your safest bet is simply to stick with the OEM 20" wheel and tyre size. 20 x 9.5. 275/35 R20.

I think he means just put summer tyres on the same 20" wheel as your winter tyres. Also, that picture gives you the sizes for 21" tyres too - 285/30R21

I think then 20 inch rims And 275/35R20 tires for winter and for summer 21 inch with 285/30 tires :biggrin3:

These are the ones I am considering to get for my RS6...
Dealer quoted €3100 with discount..

Tires are quite narrower, and as far as I heard in my life, narrower tire is better for hydroplaning and snow...

Tires + rims 3100 eur? Or only tires? Yes maybe slim is better for winters and wider for summer, but keep in mind that if you have 21 for summer you will need extra 20 inch rims with tires for winter, it's expensive but I think worth for such car

Yes, correct...both rims and tires...and also tire pressure sensors are included...

I have ordered mine with 21" and plan to use them in the summer and will get the extra 20" set for the winter...
