Re: Road Trip Ideas
Hi Rick, yes done quite a few Euro trips in mine and have always got the Eurotunnel. Obv you have the obvious Nurburgring but also I did Stuttgart followed by the Black Forest a couple of years ago and that was really enjoyable. we did the Porsche museum in Stuttgart and then headed down to the Black Forest stopping overnight in the spa town of Baden Baden which is a really nice town and right on the edge of the forest which has some of the best driving roads in the world

Re: Road Trip Ideas
Ill be keeping a close eye on this. Really wanted to do something like this, but have never had the bottle to do it.
The 'ring is a must, and id also love to go to Monaco. What are those decent roads that TopGear went on? They would have to be driven aswell!!

This is on my list, went to Majorca on holiday a couple of years ago with the mrs and loved it, we agreed we would return there one day but make it a driving holiday. 1200 miles from the UK through Belgium and France then into Barcelona and hop on a ferry to Majorca.

Re: Road Trip Ideas
If you like Italian food and Ferrari then I'd recommend Lake Garda. I've been 5 times. It's 1115miles from Brum using the ferry. The drive through France has amazing views and then blipping through the Monte Blanc tunnel is a soundtrack to die for. The motorways are mostly nice, straight and clear so the occasional top speed blast is achievable. I'd also recommend staying at the top end of the lake known as Riva del Garda. A complete circle around the lake is 112miles with some amazing scenery with plenty of twistys and some wonderful tunnel moments. There's loads of little places dotted all around the lake to Shop and eat which will keep the missus happy. Ferrari only down the road and also Verona and Venice.

Re: Road Trip Ideas
Evo publish a few also. I was supposed to go on a euro trip during the with a bunch of fellow petrol heads but had to duck out last minute due to work commitments. But over 4 days the guys went down the eastern borders of France to the Alps, through Switzerland then back up north through Germany. The trip was concluded with a day at the ring before heading back to Blighty through the tunnel.

Re: Road Trip Ideas
Didn't someone on here just recently gt back from a Euro driving trip? Took some lovely photos but I cna't remember who it was or even what car it was. Think it was italy or france though.
Also, so you remember Young Ben's euro road trip? He wrote a good thread about it when he got back, might be worth looking through that for some ideas.
