SQ5 4 wheel geometry

Post by boombastik » Thu May 14, 2015 10:07 pm

Has anyone had or needed to have the 4 wheel geometry done on the sq5

I bought one 2 weeks ago for the missus and it was wandering to the left its only a year old with 12k miles

Any way the skilled mechanic at aberdeen Auid test drove the car and tried to convince me it was the camber of the road that causing the issue. I insisted to speak to the service manager and he agreed to put the car on the geometry machine

Any way it's back it drives perfect now and I've got a print out of before and after adjustment and was wondering if any one has settings so I can compare.

ah the old pull to the left - it drives me mad.
mine has this.
by any chance does yours have 21" alloys?

i got mine a few weeks/months after they first came out and noticed it - it went back to the dealer who agreed they could replicate - geometry etc was all ok and nothing else could be found.

i also find that i get quite bad tramlining - on both new and worn tyres.
what i have found though is increasing the pressure over the stated on door plaque seems to help both. i have the steering in comfort to which also seems to lessen the effect and ache on my arm.

I have been meaning to swap front to back to rule out the alloys as well but never got round to it.
