True, but Le Mans didn't do great things for R8 image. Da R8 crew on tour.

I went out in a V10 s-tronic and a 911 C4S back to back and to be honest I call it evens. Interior on the 911 is way nicer, both sounded great, Audi looked nicer, both handled incredibly. Overall I'd take the R8 but only marginally as mainly due to the point mentioned above and the looks of the R8.

Go and have a blast in Turbo S. It's a knockout. That thing is brutal in any gear at any time.

There's a lot of styling options on the carrera, I think it's a great looking car too. I also think build quality is better than Audi's.

Then there's customer service. I've had way more service from Porsche and I'm not a customer, yet.

Turbo S vs. F TYPE Coupe R .... I'd take the Jag and spend the £40k I've saved on women and beer! Pretty sure I'd win

40k less without adding stuff, add stuff and it gets near.....and that makes F type look pricey.

RRP, base price.

550PS. F - TYPE Coupe R - £85k

560PS. Turbo S - £142k

Yes, I know the Porka is technically a better car is almost everyway, BUT, I'd take the Jag all day long.

I might be in the minority, but I prefer the cabrio. There's too much body in the rear pillars.

More chance of getting the Porka too, what's waiting for F typed now?

For me another contributing factor is exclusivity in my area. There's a few Porsches in the area, all different models, one being right next door to my parents. Nobody bats an eyelid at a Porsche nowadays. Only true enthusiast could probably tell/spot the differences between some of the latest models. Even though the R8 maybe an aging design people still love them and I've never seen any going around in my home town until now :biggrin3:

Young kids seeing it is the funniest with it being Iron man's car.

A McLaren 12C parked on the main street for literally 10 minutes a few weeks ago and it was talked about in the pubs for days! I'm looking forward to hearing more about the new McLaren P13 too, this is I think is where I maybe looking to move onto (fingers crossed) in a few years over a Porsche.

I know the SQ5 is also hard to spot between standard Q5s but nobody else has one in my area and this is going to be my blend in work horse

OK I've had my SQ5 for awhile now and so thought i'd share a few photos. I absolutely love the thing. Thanks should go to DDB detailing again for a superb job, this got the full gtechniq ceramics protection before I collected it form the dealership.

Looks good, I plan to give my wife's SQ the Gtech treatment (C2 and Exo) over the weekend. We've only had it for a couple of weeks and it's still being driven gently but I am deeply impressed with its all round ability. Ride, torque, handling, noise, finish and comfort are all very good indeed, as a daily driver I can't think of anything that would better it. In vicar mode we're getting an indicated 38 mpg as well.
