What is the best DRC setup for long journeys.
Just wondering what the best setup for 200+ plus, mostly motorway, journeys. Looking to keep comfort mainly.
Re: What is the best DRC setup for long journeys.

I would say comfort 99% of the time and dynamic probably on the track only
The extra compliance the comfort setting gives over the 'far too hard' dynamic allows you to swing the car around a bit better on most roads in my experience

Are you travelling alone, or just two in the front?
Try getting someone to drive you when sitting in the back on dynamic suspension. It's not nice at all compared to the mild feeling of bumpy in the front.

I'm in the minority, I tend to drive in dynamic most of the time unless the roads really are that bad, that is when my wife isn't in the car

I mostly drive on my own but where i live is country lanes for about 30 miles then onto the motorway for about 200 miles.
Re: What is the best DRC setup for long journeys.
i'm in dynamic every thing 99% of the time no harsher than the B7 set up, so i dont notice anything really might be different if you come from a soft set up motor

Well thanks for the feedback and yes we come from a reasonably soft car (golf gtd) and a range rover.

There must be some variation in how 'hard' dynamic is in our cars, as comfort in mine is about the same as my B7 RS4 Avant was, and dynamic is bone jarringly hard
I've driven 4 or 5 b8 rs4's and they've been consistent, but entirely possible that there's some variation

Re: What is the best DRC setup for long journeys.
I find the dynamic setting fine from a suspension perspective...but the steering??...it seems to need variable input than when it's auto and I really dislike it at low speeds. I hate to admit but I kerbed a wheel whilst in a car park in Dynamic mode as it started to turn and then more input was required.....which I wasn't prepared for and bump.....nothing major but effing annoying. I usually manage at least a year without kerb damage on a new car.
I drive in individual mode with everyhthing on "auto" apart from Exhaust, Adaptive Cruise and Sports Diff all in Dynamic. For me it's an everyday "get in and drive" setup without the need to fiddle.

Ive heard that the steering was bad at low speeds but whats it like at high speeds and for comfort.
