Wheels rotors v V spokes

Post by too hot » Mon Jan 27, 2014 1:38 pm

Been thinking over the wheel options on the RS4. I have ordered the V spokes as I thought the rotors appear too "common"
On looking at the rotors in titanium they do seem to give the car a meaner look.
However I'm a bit disappointed that there isn't a " special " wheel for the RS4!!!
Anyone got the same thoughts or any ideas of individual wheels??
I have a set of anthracite BBS CK in 19" ET35 in my garage at the moment, wonder if they will fit the RS4?? :nogarors4:

I agree with you ......

I think the rotors are far to common , and without being a snob , was the exact reason I didn't spec them.
That said , they do look very good and on some car colour combinations , the best looking wheel.

I did however think that the Vspokes were special to RS ???.......is that not the case ?.....what else are they on do you know ?

Are the RS4 rotors bigger? I would probably spec V spokes if I was ordering an RS4, but have to say that the rotors seem set the arches off better, they just add a bit of depth. Car looks nice either way though.

The RS4 rotors have a relatively low offset of 26mm compared to approx. 45mm for the standard A4. This gives the RS4 rotors a much more concave spoke compared to the flatter spoke seen on, say, the A4. The standard 19s have an even lower offset of 24mm and, thus, have even more pronounced concavity; this never seems to come across well in images but they do actually look quite good in the flesh.

Iv got Rotors on my RS, and im getting a set of V spokes and having them painted, their just to common, which is a shame because their a good wheel.
RS products should only be available for the RS range while the that range is still in production, exclusivity and all that billy boxxcks.

I would have agreed with you before I bought riv,the titanium rotors look amazing on my car,I'm over near Guildford if your not far away your welcome to have a look, photos don't do them justice IMO, I pulled into Audi stealers in Guildford, on leaving their parts department I had at least ten Audi staff crowding round the car saying how nice it looked :biggrin3:

The dish on the rotors is lovely even if they are common.

Yeah I'm beginning to come to that conclusion too. I do like the titanium rotors and they certainly look more concave than the V spokes . I would like to see them side by side just to see how they look in the metal as it were !!!
One thing putting me off the V spokes is my daughter has them on her A1!!!!
Decisions decisions !!!!!
