Ordered a Golf R

Post by HYFR » Thu Jan 16, 2014 1:15 pm

Sadly the R8 V10 Spyder has to go to make way for a House

Was umming and arrrrring what to do

Tempted to order a B8 RS with the offer but whilst the boggo standard car was tempting as soon as you add options the price moves north

I needed something cheap whilst I ploughed my cash into a new house etc and in fact I don't actually need anything as I have a nice company hack, but as a petrol head I needed a toy to go in the new triple garage!

Tempted by a B7, but had 4 of those

Then, I came across a stonking lease deal on the brand new yet to be releases Golf 7 R. 2.0TSi 300PS 4wd

It's the S3 effectively

£2400 down
£287 PCM
10k pa (enough for a couple trips to Germany a year ;) )

Cheap as chips and will be a great toy whilst I get my house sorted and save for a return to the big time in 2 years.

Jackpot

Blimey. Mr Audi without an RS Audi!

That's a bloody good deal you've got there mate.

I'm currently torn about what to do with my RS and the old house situation. Also want an R8 as well.

Decisions decisions.

Pics of the car and the triple garage when you get them.

Boggo

3door
Manual
Tornado red

Wasn't arsed about anything else as I'll have a £51k Jag to smoke around in .... Tempted by the Dynamic Chassis Control but these things are often just gimmicky

You?

Nice, getting rid of one of the fleet or are you going for a 6 car household?

Was there no way of lifting the annoying soft limiter at around 6500 rpm slightly?
