If you don't want a sunroof don't get a sunroof, I'm sure you won't get your money back later, particularly the longer you keep it.
Agreed, especially over a sunroof!!

If you're worried about residuals on a 100k car, you're buying the wrong car. You'll definitely take a bath on it whatever spec it is. Expect to lose 40-50k over three years.

Anybody able to provide info as to easy/how hard it might be to get a black optic look aftermarket??? And Im talking painted, not wrapped.

Grille surround, front splitter (lower and side thingy), side window surround bits, rear diffusor & rails (I think that's it). Would it look naff afterwards?

My dealer said the front grill surround no problem but the rest risked blistering. They would actually replace with black factory parts and cost could be similar to the Carbon Black pack. I'll probably just paint the grill surround, paint mirrors body colour and forget the rest.

What colour wheels are you going for - black or titanium?

I'm worried the shinny black might look a bit OTT on an estate car!

The configurator is up and running now, did my spec with a sensible head on, came out at £87K. Then did one without sensible head on, came out at.....................................

£138K  . I just ticked all the boxes including the exclusive stuff. That would be an interesting chat come trade in time!!!!

Mine came in at £105k - got everything that was necessary and absolutely no exclusive stuff.

Also, got confirmation from the dealer that all UK models will have a 3 seater rear bench, not the 2 seater that is in all the photos on the internet

Just over 105k for me....I think R8 is more appealing at that money, not withstanding it can't carry children and crap.

i would be surprised if the majority of the cars that hit the road dont end up having the £10k option including the ceramics, LEDs and other suspension bits n bobs. Espically with re-sale in mind (you'll still loose a bundle but will make it a lot easier to shift).

i get the impression that, like a few years back, things like sat-nav was the must have option on top end cars, now on the RS' its the ceramics that will be the must have option.

Not so sure on the ceramics, I suspect most RS4/5 don't have them, and not that many C6s have them.

Personally I'd take the package, but some will be put off by the cost of having discs changed (not that you should have to), and the cost of purchase in the first place. The package doesn't save that much cash over individual prices either. Crafty.

Well, there is that, however, I would prefer child on the basis that he likes going fast and doesn't moan when doing so. Unlike the wife who looks like she's about to spew or seek physch help. I don't think my driving is that bad.

I'm still debating whether to pull the trigger. And even if I did it would be a 14, 54 plate car I'd be aiming for.

My spec is Prism with titan wheels which is why is need some kind of optic contrast; the carbon pack is crazy money though. IMO the black wheels are a bit too boy racer, titans the darkest I dare go.

Personally, you're taking a big risk on 100k of car painting bits aftermarket, that's going to pick your pocket down the line.

If you're in no hurry, why not wait until you can drive one. Not as though you won't get one.

I'm going to sit on it for another year I think, I feel a bit of a car shuffle coming along.
