Just a thought guys..or maybe clutching at straws..

There is some info going about with regards to resetting the gearbox brain to relearn all the solonoid currents and closing times, etc. ??

Could this help?!?!?!?

Mine does the same thing with first to second sometimes, I have already resigned myself to needing a new box for some time and won't be penny pinching when it comes to replacing it. Not sure what newer buyers of these were expecting things to cost when they went wrong but it was never going to be cheap.
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

Gone:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

I didn't penny pinch with my C5, but if the box had gone it would have had a recon gearbox at a decent ZF place and count itself lucky, £6k would be better going towards my Audi RS2 fund. Fair fecking play to you nutters that are mad enough to do it though.

Be interesting to see if this works. I've never heard of anyone having success getting this procedure to work on the RS6. Let us know. But your box is toast, I'm afraid.

Did you say you were in Scotland? Try A4 Audi, heard good things about Mackies too. Also, Grizz has 20% off at the moment iirc.

Not at all, only know of one guy that has used AMD on here for an RS6 gearbox.

It's MRC/Unit 20.
