These RS4 avants are so common!!!
These RS4 avants are so common!!!
I dropped into my dealership today to arrange my drive in their demo RS4 and while I was there they took me out the back and there were 5 RS4's all waiting to be prepared for the lucky new owners. All different colours as well, one Ibis, one Daytona, one Misano, one Panther black and one Sepang. Now before anybody shouts I didn't have my phone on me so no pictures I'm afraid. The general specs were as follows with my opinion of what they looked like.
1. Ibis White, V spokes, black optics. Looked ok but didn't show the lines of the car very well.
2. Daytona Grey, Titanium Rotors, black optics. Though this would look better but just looked like a black edtion.
3. Misano Red, High Gloss Rotors, Alu style pack. Looked the worst of the lot, can't put my finger on it but I didn't look right.
4. Panther black, V spokes, black optics. This look very nice and understated but in a classy way.
5. Sepang Blue, V spokes, Alu style pack. Best of the lot, best colour although I wouldn't have the Alu style pack, just doesn't work on this car/colour in my opinion.
In order of preference it would be;
Sepang
Panther Black
Ibis
Daytona
Misano
Also a point for you potential owners, all of them bar one had the sunroof option which apparently is one of those must have options. None had buckets, apparently not a must have option (waste of money I was told). Also the advanced tech pack seemed to be a popular choice as well.
Well my day with the RS4 is next tuesday so will see how we get on...........

They were all black leather as far as I could see. The seats look better than the ones I had in the RS5. The one I'm taking out next week has the silver interior but from looking at another car I would say its more ivory. I'll gets some pictures of the one next week but I think it's on 19's and no sports pack.535dboy wrote:Great thanks for the post.

Also forgot to mention most had privacy glass which looked good as its not as dark as some and didn't look like a drug dealer car.
Although I had the opportunity to drive them at Millbrook I want to take one out and drive it a bit more day to day style to see what's its like in real life.
I couldn't take it out today as it was with a customer who's new RS4 is back in the workshop due to a fault with the suspension so they had to lend them the demo!!!!!

Re: These RS4 avants are so common!!!
Just had my car serviced at Southend Audi, and they had a sepang demo in the showroom...like above with Alu style pack with front splitter,no buckets nor sunroof...looks aggressive from the front but the arches at the back don't look as good as the fronts as they taper down to quick ...also had the v spoke 20s....one thing I did notice was the back brake callipers are not a solid metal plate that covers the pads, you could see a code number on the pad through the alloy wheel, which looked proper pony....

Maybe it's most people's way of lightening up a typically black and dark Audi interior?lengster1 wrote:Sunroof a must have?.......really? Very few b7s around with em.....maybe its all that global warming
I always spec an Audi with a sunroof, and a lighter interior, if I can - one reason why the RS3 was crossed off my list.
